EATERIES LOSE OUT AS DINERS BALK
The Subway Series isn't great news for all New Yorkers. Some of the city's top restaurateurs are wishing they owned sports bars instead.
"People go out to the games, or they stay home to watch. They are not enjoying dinner at Le Perigord," says Georges Briguet, owner of the French eatery on East 52nd Street. Mr. Briguet says that several patrons canceled reservations for this week-95% of his customers are New Yorkers-and he projects a 40% drop in business.
