ANYONE WITH INTERNET ACCESS and a credit card can get The Dictionary of Imaginary Places for a good deal less than the forty-dollar list price, but, as book prices go nowadays, The Dictionary is worth a fair amount more than forty dollars; it is a handsome, well-made volume, nicely illustrated and indexed, instructive and entertaining.
