HUAL, the operator of roll-on/roll-off (ro/ro) vehicle carriers which transport nearly a million car equivalent units (CEU) a year on deep-sea and short-sea routes worldwide, launched its first regular services from Europe to the Middle East in 1975. It opened its first representative office in the region in Dubai, which is its regional headquarters. It also has a presence in Saudi Arabia through two agents, the Kanoo Group in Riyadh and Dammam and the Arabian Establishment for Trade (AET) in Jeddah. Hual is currently considering strategies to closer co-ordinate the work of the two agents in the kingdom.
