HANNOVER, Germany - Two Filipino students - Bonar Laureto and Deorex David Navaja - have been awarded research internships and practical training in Germany for their project involving the manufacture of ''sweet cement'' that may someday be used to build low-cost homes or schoolbuildings.
Their award further impressed Germans and other visitors to the Hannover Expo 2000 where a Philippine Pavilion reflected the creative energy and innovation of Filipinos in commerce, technology, arts, entertainment, literature and sciences.
Laureto and Navaja, both 18, earned research internship awards from Merck Laboratories of Germany for one month. This would enable ...
