Concerned about more than 100 reported injuries involving circumcision clamps over the last 3 1/2 years, the Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning letter.
In an advisory "notification" sent to physicians, associations and manufacturers, the agency warned against interchanging Gomcotype parts from different manufacturers after cleaning and sterilization. The letter also strongly advised sizing Mogen-type clamps properly before use.
