Five theatre and journalism professionals from various regions of the country have been named to American Theatre's new advisory board. The advisers will offer story ideas and suggestions to the editors over the course of one year, with the aim of broadening and deepening the magazine's national coverage. The advisors are profiled below.
Nefertiti Burton is a theatre director and educator. She co-directs the African American Theatre Program at the University of Louisville, where she is a member of the theatre faculty. She is also the producing artistic director of North-Star Touring Company, a professional company that tours African-American theatre productions.
