AST RESEARCH FILES $50 MILLION CONVERTIBLE
SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES DUE 2013
IRVINE, Calif., May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- AST Research Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTA), filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission a registration statement covering a proposed public offering of $50 million in principal amount of convertible subordinated debentures due 2013.
The first Boston Corporation and Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. will co- manage the underwriting, which is expected to take place in late May 1988.
Net proceeds of the contemplated financing will be used for additional working capital and general corporate purposes.
