CHARLOTTE, N.C. _ Moments after suffering four gunshot wounds last year, a frantic Cherica Adams told emergency workers Rae Carruth was at the scene of the attack and drove away.
Adams, eight months' pregnant with Carruth's child, told a Medic dispatcher and a 911 operator she suspected the former Carolina Panthers player was involved in her Nov. 16 shooting.
Adams told the dispatcher Carruth was driving in front of her during the attack. When the dispatcher asked where Carruth went after the shooting, Adams replied: "He just left."
Carruth's whereabouts during the shooting will be an important issue in his capital murder trial, which continues ...
