This is one soccer timeout that is causing all kinds of controversy.
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association yesterday continued the suspension of the Division 1 North boys soccer tournament pending legal action filed by Medford. The school was ruled ineligible for the tournament by the MIAA because it was said to have played this season with an ineligible player.
The MIAA issued the following statement yesterday, e-mailing it to each of the 17 eligible schools in the tournament:
