SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 2000
The H.E.Butt Grocery Company requested today that customers return one UPC Code of Hill Country Fare Colby Jack Cheese Bites purchased at H-E-B Food and Drug stores throughout the state. This action is the result of testing conducted by the Food and Drug Administration and reported to H-E-B by the product manufacturer, Schreiber Foods. The manufacturer notified H-E-B Friday afternoon that Listeria monocytogenes had been found in some of the products manufactured in one of their contracted plants. There are no known cases of listeriosis associated with the consumption of Hill Country Fare cheese. ...
