The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Research Foundation (CIRREF) and the Society of Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology (SCVIR), in cooperation with the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) in North Carolina, launched the Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE) Fibroid Registry for Outcomes Data (FIBROID) in October 2000.
The registry brings together scientific and technical resources through the collaborative efforts and support of a professional medical society, an academic research organization, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and consumers.
