NEW YORK -- Street vendors in New York have accessories manufacturers and retailers in an uproar.
It's not a new problem and some executives say city authorities are controlling the vendors better than in the past, but several retailers point out the competition from the vendors has reached a new dimension. Particularly disturbing, some say, is that the street vendors' merchandise now is more on target with current fashion trends.
