Construction efforts have begun for the expansion of Uniroyal Technology Corporation's (Nasdaq: UTCI) high brightness light emitting diode (HB LED) capacity at its facility in Tampa, Florida. Build out of the remaining 33,000 sq. ft. of its 77,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art facility includes expanding capacity for the epitaxial, fabrication and testing processes as well as increasing the facility infrastructure and support. The expansion, which is expected to be complete in mid-2001, also includes a research and development facility.
