You don't have to be a rocket scientist to appreciate and enjoy the fundamentals of aerodynamics. In fact, in St. Charles, you only need to be a student at Haines or Thompson middle schools and join the Rocket Club.
"We build and launch rockets," said Dave Lippold, an eighth- grade science teacher at Haines who launched the club 26 years ago. "These students learn concepts of aerodynamics, staying of rockets, rocket design and how to follow directions."
