Capping off an award-filled year, the much decorated AMD Athlon(TM) processor was awarded the Maximum PC magazine "CPU of the Year Award" for 2001. It is the second consecutive year the AMD Athlon processor has won this influential award. Maximum PC announced the honors on Friday.
