WESTLIFE last night celebrated their first chart- topping album after they beat The Spice Girls to the No1 spot by a huge margin.
The Irish boy band's Coast To Coast album outsold Forever, from the Spice Girls, by almost four copies to one.
Westlife notched up sales of 234,000, compared with just 71,000 for the Girl Power group, to win the bitter week-long chart battle.
Last night, Westlife's Kian Egan said: "It's fantastic news. We want to say a big thank you to all our fans who bought the record.
