CHARLESTON, W.Va., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ --
A Consent Decree entered by the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., obligates the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to begin issuing proposed federal implementation plans (FIPs) to Northeast states as early as Nov. 15, 2000.
The six Northeast states identified in the Consent Decree are Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island.
