When the Spring Valley football team took the field at the start of Saturday's WIAA Division 6 state semifinal game, they went out as a team, bypassing any individual introductions.
Some 2 hours later, Necedah found out just how good of a team Spring Valley is.
Tom Sauve rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as Spring Valley, the No. 1 team in the final Associated Press Division 6 poll, beat No. 2 Necedah, 32-0.
Spring Valley (13-0) will play Highland, which beat Black Hawk Friday, in the Division 6 state championship game Thursday morning at Camp Randall Stadium. Necedah finishes its season at 12-1.
