Nov. 12--Greg Wathen isn't a brain surgeon, rocket scientist or nuclear physicist.
His work is harder than that.
Wathen is charged with bringing business to Tell City.
The Ohio River community lacks an interstate highway; its sharp hills aren't suitable for sprawling factories; and it has no airport to speak of.
Yet, Wathen has wriggled free of those obstacles to stand as one of the state's top economic developers.
As executive director of Perry County Development Corp., he has a railroad, a river port and a foundry to his credit. And a Japanese company recently announced it plans to build a $65 million auto-parts plant.
