MURRAY HILL, N.J., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ --
Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) today announced a three-year, $200 million agreement that will enable IP Communications to bring voice, data and Internet access to businesses and residences from California to the Great Lakes. IP Communications plans to be among the first in the nation to offer voice services over a data network and expects to begin offering such services in Texas in 2001.
The agreement expands the relationship between the two companies, which in December of 1999 announced that Lucent would provided data systems and products for IP Communications' operations in Texas.
