The Izmir Water & Sewerage Administration (IZSU) plans in early November to open financial bids for a contract to build a new sewage treatment plant in the city. Four local and international consortia have been shortlisted from eight interested groups. IZSU is now conducting a technical evaluation of the bids. The contract is for the preparation of final designs and construction of an anaerobic sludge digestion plant for sludge disposal at the Izmir wastewater treatment plant.
