Talk of ballot recounts and possible election fraud brought a distinct sense of deja vu to two presidential scions who turned up Tuesday for the opening of the National Museum of American History's new exhibition on the American presidency.
"I was young, hotblooded and wanted to win," Jack Ford recalled, describing how he felt in the first few days after the 1976 election, when his father, Gerald R. Ford, ultimately resisted contesting Jimmy Carter's victory in a number of states.
