DETROIT _ The Detroit Red Wings should be thankful there isn't a fourth period.
In the game of copy cat that was the Wings' 6-3 victory Monday night, the fourth would have been Nashville's turn to dominate. The game would have been tied.
Just look at the play-by-play:
Slava Kozlov, Yuri Butsayev and Nicklas Lidstrom gave the Wings a 3-0 lead in the first period. Butsayev and Lidstrom's goals came in a span of 26 seconds.
Cliff Ronning and David Legwand made the score 3-3 in the second. Legwand, a Detroit native, scored the last two goals in a span of, yes, 26 seconds.
