Article: Electronic 'ink' on display.(Business)

It bends and flexes like paper but has the look of a computer screen. And someday, new technology from E Ink Corp., of Cambridge, may blur the lines between computer displays and plain old paper.

E Ink took the wraps off a new prototype of a paperlike electronic display yesterday that it developed with Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs research unit.

The companies hope to use the technology in products that will look and feel like printed paper, but a user will be able to change what's written on the paper as easily as changing what's displayed on a computer screen.
