Nov. 21--The editor of The Indianapolis Star will leave to take a similar job at the Orlando Sentinel.
Timothy A. Franklin, 40, was hired by Florida's fastest-growing daily newspaper less than a year after joining The Star.
He will leave Dec. 1.
Franklin told his employees the job switch was "gut-wrenching" because he had hoped to stay at The Star for many years. But he said the move was made easier because he is rejoining his former employer, the Tribune Co., which owns the Orlando paper.
Franklin said his departure isn't linked to the purchase of The Star's parent company in August by Gannett Co., the nation's largest newspaper ...
