GREATER ATTENTION TO HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN UNITED STATES

WASHINGTON, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- President Reagan's efforts on behalf of human rights in the Soviet Union should be matched by efforts to correct violations of human rights in the United States, Father Virgil Blum, S.J., president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, has declared.

Father Blum pointed to "restrictions in the United States on the the right of parents to choose the kind of education their children shall get, and the legalized assault on the lives of children before birth."
