It may sound strange, but Grant could actually be a better team this year than last despite losing a pair of legends.
Tom Maple retired after 25 years as the Bulldogs' head coach. Wayne Bosworth, a four-year starter, 25 point-per-game scorer as a senior and the fourth-highest career scorer in Lake County history, graduated.
But new coach Phil Ralston, Maple's assistant the last two years, figures he has more depth and athletic ability on the current roster than Maple had in leading Grant to a 15-12 record last year.
