Men's Apparel Wholesale Prices Up In September as Fabric Costs Rise WASHINGTON (FNS) -- Higher prices for wool and other fabrics pushed wholesale prices for men's and boys' apparel up 0.7 percent in September from August, and 3.9 percent from September 1987, the Labor Department reported.

Seasonally adjusted, last month's prices for men's and boys'apparel rose 0.8 percent from August levels.

In the three-month July-September 1988 period, prices for men's and boys' apparel rose 1.3 percent, compared to 1.6 percent in the 1987 period.
