Hilmar Cheese maintains 'world's largest' title with recent expansion

Cheese certainly is a big business these days, and Hilmar Cheese Co. is a big business within that business. With those staggering numbers, Hilmar has no critics when it claims to have the largest single-site cheese plant in the world.
With a couple of competitors starting or planning new 6 million lbs per day plants, that title may have been in doubt. But Hilmar in late May completed a multi-million dollar, 125,000-sq-ft expansion to its sole plant in Hilmar, Calif. That brings it to 295,000 ...
