High Point -- Juvenile rugs have become a part of home decor, not just a toy. Some rug vendors extend their brands with separate kid divisions, but many suppliers say designs with child-appeal are part and parcel of the total merchandise mix.
Rug makers have shied away from the here-today, gone-tomorrow licenses that tie in with movie and game themes. Many are now investing in decorative designs from artists who have an eye for romance, whimsy or edgy fantasy.
