HONG KONG, Nov. 23 (UPI)

A meager 3 percent of Hong Kong businesses with online web pages sold goods, services or information on the Internet, according to a government study.

An extensive poll on Internet usage revealed the total income from goods and services sold online accounted for $589.5 million, about 0.11 percent of the total business of Hong Kong companies.

Two surveys, conducted by the Census and Statistic Department from January to June of this year, were based on findings from interviews with 4,600 companies and 10,200 households and focused on Internet penetration and usage in the home and in businesses.
