STERLING HEIGHTS CULTURAL COMMISSION SPONSORS SCULPTURE COMPETITION

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sterling Heights Cultural Commission is sponsoring a sculpture competition open to all Michigan artists for a sculpture to be placed outside City Hall.

"The commission recently received a grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts to hold the competition," said Cultural Commission Chairperson Sharon Arend.

"We plan to have a $30,000 budget for the sculpture," she said. "We're looking for artwork that will capture the spirit of Sterling Heights."
