Colorado's administrative law judges are changing the way they work to reflect a neutral viewpoint, lawmakers were told Monday.
Larry Trujillo, executive director of the Personnel and General Support Services Department, told an interim legislative committee that improvements already have been made and more are coming.
When Trujillo took office in January, he found himself inundated with calls complaining about administrative law judges in the Division of Administrative Hearings bending over backward to issue rulings for people who file complaints.
