GRANBY -- The way Steve Penley sees it, the Colorado Division of Wildlife is shuffling the cards for a game of good-fish / bad-fish that could be the undoing of one of the most successful naturally reproducing trout in the state and a staple of anglers and local economies, particularly at Lake Granby.
Penley, of Parker, and others of his ilk stalk lake trout, mackinaw. They say the long-lived, top-of-the-line predators are being maligned and fear they are being set up for a fall during the next round of fishing regulations.
