Art.com, anyone?
In a season where every other television commercial seems to feature an online shopping site, why should it be any different in the art world? Art mags aren't the only publications loaded with ads for computer-friendly options to buy, lease or study art.
Or drool over it, if you're into checking auction results.
And plenty of people are buying, apparently, though not at my house. Suspicious of too good a deal? Maybe. More candidly, it's that I believe a piece of art needs to be seen to be believed - or bought.
Collectors certainly look at plenty of transparencies and skim through ...
