Students from the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self-Development in Detroit will be among the participants in activities next weekend in Montgomery, Ala., celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
The institute, Troy State University Montgomery, the Montgomery Improvement Association and others have activities planned from Thursday through next week.
Rosa Parks is expected to be at some of them.
Parks, Coretta Scott King and Juanita Abernathy will be honored at a special dinner Friday night hosted by Andrew Young and Maya Angelou.
