Grocery shoppers worry that today's juicy T-bone won't taste as good as last week's, cattle breeders at the National Western Stock Show say.
``You watch the women in these large supermarkets picking up packages of hamburger and steaks and roasts,'' said Mark Duffell, an Angus breeder from Virginia attending the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.
``Most of the time, they'll throw it back and get a chicken,'' he said. ``It's not the price of beef. They're willing to pay more. But they'll tell you they can't count on what they're getting.''
