I know why I had to see the Avalanche on Wednesday night, and let's just say it wasn't for the pregame meal at the antiquated McNichols concession stand.

This is, at long last, the team the Avalanche will take into the playoffs. It's the post-trading-deadline Avalanche. The post-post-12-game-winning-streak Avalanche. As Marc Crawford might put it, the post-dust-settling Avalanche.

I came to see if this version of the Avalanche was good enough.

And, as it turned out, this Avalanche team was plenty good enough - at least to clobber Crawford's lowly Vancouver Canucks, even at ...
