Colorado companies that sell packages to ski resorts have more to celebrate this year than the ski areas do.
The Ski Tour Operators Association, which held its annual conference in Denver Friday, is reporting brisk business this year. In comparison, skier visits across the state are down about 5.5 percent.
But the majority of the 28 companies attending the conference said their business is up 5 percent to 10 percent over last season. Nearly half said their business jumped by 20 percent or more. The association represents companies from the United States and Canada.
