Holy Week, the most inspiring time on the Christian calendar, begins today, Palm Sunday, in churches across Colorado.
Wielding palm branches, Christians recall how Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem by palm-waving followers, only to be betrayed, arrested and crucified.
The liturgically complex week ``grew out of Christianity's need to tell the most important part of the story of Jesus to converts,'' said the Rev. John R. Pederson, pastor of Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Ave.
