TALLAHASSEE, Fla. _ As lawyers continued to argue over vote recounts Thursday, a rented truck rolled north on the Ronald Reagan Turnpike, carrying the ballots that may decide the fate of the presidential drama.
Attorneys for Vice President Al Gore asked the state Supreme Court to order an immediate hand recount of disputed votes from two Florida counties, saying there soon won't be enough time left to obtain an accurate tally.
