Jerry McMorris' role in the Colorado Rockies ownership group will be undiminished - and most likely increased - in the aftermath of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by NationsWay Transport Service, Inc., which he controlled.
Unlike Oren Benton, an original member of the Rockies ownership group who filed for bankruptcy and subsequently withdrew from involvement with the baseball team, McMorris did not utilize any cross-capitalization of his investments.
