It's been a historical May sweeps on television. Or perhaps hysterical is more appropriate.
First up was NBC's widely-watched Noah's Ark, which played in part like a series of skits on Saturday Night Live - when SNL was worth watching.
Next came CBS' Joan of Arc, a four-hour series with a million-dollar look and a two-bit script.
Now we have Cleopatra, (8-10 tonight and Monday, KMGH-Channel 7), ABC's take on the life of the famed queen of Egypt, which offers the same financial equation as Joan of Arc.
