DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars questioned their effort after Game 1 on Saturday night. They were determined to leave nothing on the ice Monday night for Game 2.
``We played this game as if it was sudden death,'' Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said. ``We needed to be a street fighter.''
Faced with the prospect of traveling to Denver staring at an 0-2 deficit, the Stars responded with their most complete game of the playoffs, evening their Western Conference final against the Avalanche with a 4-2 victory.
