With today's launch of digital subscriber line service in Denver, Jato Communications Corp. takes aim at U S West's virtual lock on the high-speed data market.
The Denver start-up says its DSL footprint serves 60 percent of metro Denver businesses and will expand to 85 percent by the end of August.
Because DSL doesn't work in every situation, ``History would tell us we can hook up 80 percent of those businesses,'' said Brian Gast, Jato's chief executive officer and president.
