GLENDALE -- Two city officials Wednesday accused four City Council members of holding an illegal meeting at a recent gathering of the Glendale Tea Party.
Mayor Joe Rice and Councilwoman Catherine Dempsey said the Tea Party violated Colorado's Sunshine Law by not providing advance public notice of a party-sponsored retreat May 22-23 in Estes Park. The retreat was attended by Jay Balano, Kay Parker, Mark Smiley and Chris Perry, who form the Tea Party's majority on the six-member council.
