The soft spot in Bernard Mendoza's heart shows in his photographs.
``I see in children the same thing I see in my work,'' said the Denver resident who tracks the American Hasidic Jewish community in ``From Generation to Generation,'' through July 15 at the Singer Gallery.
``There's an enormous purity and truth in children. They can't hide anything. In documentary work, one strives to find that, to ask if there is a purity in the image.''
