Shpend Hajdini celebrated his 22nd birthday Wednesday in Denver, far from the turmoil of his home in Kosovo.
``I'll always remember this birthday,'' he said, after blowing out the candles on his cake. ``This is my best birthday.''
Hajdini and his relatives are one of two ethnic Albanian families who arrived in Denver Wednesday from a refugee camp in Skopje, Macedonia.
The other family, four members of the Marmullaks, arrived earlier in the day, and are staying with the same family in Aurora.
The families are cousins to Gramos Prodani, who sponsored their arrival.
