Some 250 experts and representatives from at least 12 countries, various civil society groups, and international funding agencies will gather at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) on Dec. 5 for a four-day international conference on agrarian reform and rural development (ICARRD).
Agrarian Reform Secretary Horacio Morales Jr., chairman of the conference steering committee, said the delegates include agrarian reform ministers from six countries, scholars and academic experts from Great Britain, Germany and the United States, representatives of social movements from Brazil, South Africa and Zambabwe, and officials of international funding agencies ...
