World Team Tennis champions is what they have been crowned. Yes, an area team has prevailed in the most competitive league that is played throughout the entire country.
A veteran team of six players from our own River Trails Tennis Centre in Arlington Heights has won their second championship.
The victorious RTTC senior team included Bob and Phyllis Zumph (Park Ridge), John Wentworth (Arlington Heights), Marcia Bending (Bensenville), Elvira Cridland (Lake Zurich) and Bill Johnston (Palatine).
